Yvon Cormier is originally from Middletown, Connecticut. His firstcollection is characterized by its Jazz & Blues influenced poetry and prosesketches. Many readers will hear instrumental echoes of Miles Davis, JohnColtrane, and Duke Ellington while reading Life Sketches in Blue.

He writes from an insatiable nomadic intelligence which obsessesover the unspoken and seemingly invisible aspects of daily life. Hiswork is rooted in drawing life pictures where words owe a greater debt to what they represent rather than the reverse.

Mid-October 2008 - Untitled Lester Allen

Lester Allen is based in the East somewhere and is part of the semi-infamous "Beard" movement.  And this I stole from Kill Poet, "a part-time postal worker, Lester Allen works as little as possible and likes it that way.  He enjoys getting disorientated as often as time allows and spending time with his dog, Jackson.  When those obligations are fulfilled, he writes."  And let me tell you, his writing kick your ass.
